I just found this really interesting piece in regards to Gamestop and their staffing practices of late. 

The gentleman over at this Burned by the Man site has noted something odd in 10 of the 11 Gamestops in his area.  The lack of minority staff.  In fact, the removal of minority staff that was previously employed there.  He noticed that 10 of the 11 stores are now staffing a "White Nerd/Hot Chick combo" and that in 10 of the stores all the minority workers were let go.

A former African American employee of Gamestop that the article's author knew noted that he was "WWB" aka "working while black".   Not only was he let go but that 4 other black guys at his store were let go within the same week as him.

Very interesting story here especially when I think about my last two Gamestop visits.  I don't go there too often as a) their prices are high and I can get things online cheaper and b) I tend to know more about this gaming stuff than they do. 

However the two separate locations I have visited in regards to a Metal Gear preorder both had this white guy, good looking girl combo, and no minorities in the two visits to each store.  This could just be a coincidence, I will agree.  And I can't verify if there were minorities there before as I rarely go there.  However after reading this piece it kind of clicked with me as well.

Have you guys noticed this in your local Gamestops?  Is this all a bunch of crap?  I am curious to know if anyone else out there is experiencing this.
