When the World Series of Video Games first released the point system for the 2007 Circuit, controversy was going to follow inevitably. Even on our own site, a story about the shortcomings of the rules was made. Although the concept was a step forward, it wasn't flawless by any means. Now, with three events already complete, it's time to take a look at the standings and see just how accurate they appear to be.

BlizzCon 2007 was an event not soon to be forgotten. With a playable Starcraft 2 Demo, tons of tournaments to watch, and even the new expansion for World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King, was featured on an event server and attendees were able to log in and experience the new content.
Gameriot sent three writers and two professional players over to the WoW demo area to experience the new instance Utgarde Keep. In it we found several new tops of enemies, toppled the first boss, and caught a glimpse of what is to come in the new expansion.

BlizzCon Footage: Costume Contest
Not everything at BlizzCon was about new game announcements and hardcore players, there was plenty of fun too. One of the most off the wall events was the official costume contest. The show featured everything from an accurate version of a Warlock, complete with his own Voidwalker, to a perky Night Elf that got the crowd excited in a slightly different way. Interested? This weekend in Anaheim, California is scheduled to be packed full of action with everything from World of Warcraft tournaments to live concerts. BlizzCon Footage: MoB Interview
MoB TurtleBeach caught us all by surprise when their unique class composition took the 5v5 Arena Finals by storm. After plowing through both the Swedes of SK and the Koreans of D E R Tenacity, they found their squad in a position which guarantees them a top three placing. Gameriot's very own Sam Lingle caught up with them to discuss how this happened, and as you may have guessed, MoB Godfath3r was there to tell us all that the team is quite simply unstoppable. Don't worry though, its not all just hype and screaming or anything, Vinny even broke down some of the team's strategies at the tournament.

BlizzCon Footage: Nashwan Interview
The best way to describe Nashwan's start in Blizzard's 5v5 Arena Finals is hot. Despite being placed against the Champions from last month's North American Regional Finals, Evil Geniuses (previously known as Flow), they started off with a big 3-1 win. Their next opponent would be Curse Gaming, who just recently announced that they would be joining forces with top multi-gaming team, MeetYourMakers. Their European brothers were unable to put up any more of a fight, with Nashwan coming out on top in just three maps.
