Morning news is ready for your readership.  Analysis of this months gaming sales, Uwe Boll, Fallout 3, all sorts of goodies to satisfy the eye.Next Generation has a nice Fallout 3 preview up.  One of the cool features this time around is your actions will dictate peoples opinions of you, and options you may have later in the game.I saw this Team Fortress 2 video the other night and I was quite impressed.  Having logged a couple hundred hours on it myself, this is something I have …

Midweek morning news is here for your reading pleasure.  I will be busy today because Obama is in town, and I am going to grab my snip... kidding... I would much rather have him than Hillary.  Anyways I am voting Libertarian, so I could care less if he is here!  On with the news!EA Mythic, developers of the upcoming Warhammer MMO,  says World of Warcraft has made making MMOs that much easier.  He notes that most MMOs that have come out since WoW have been successful.&nbs…

Welcome to the morning news.  I have AoC news today, MGS4, Ninja Gaiden, 3 different videos, all sorts of goodies.  Enjoy!Go ahead and try to tell me this Metal Gear 4 trailer, with Movie Trailer Announcer Guy, isn't pure badassery.  Wow... Less than a month a way until release, the promotion is really starting to pick up now.Age of Conan has over 1 million beta sign-ups so far.  Seems like pretty good news, though with many seeking a "WoW alternative", who knows how many wil…

We have some big game releases confirmed for later on this year in today's edition of the news, the Friday edition, and we are going out on a bang.Call of Duty (5) is set for this fiscal year.  That doesn't necessarily mean this calendar year as the fiscal year ends at the end of March.  But a pre-holiday release most likely means more sales than a late winter release.  The game will feature a new locale, and be on six different platforms.  (PC, PS3, 360, Wii.... DS and PSP?)…

If we take just a moment, let's think back one generation of console games. Playstation 2 and Xbox had it under their thumbs, good profits and good followings, with Gamecube trying its best. But while Xbox was successful, if you didn't play only one or two types of games... a Playstation 2 would do anyone fine for gaming. It had fine titles, at least 3 really good ones, for EVERY genre you could have an interest in.Then the systems grew old, and the new batch came out. Easily the closest competi…

Welcome back for another round of the morning news on me!Madden 09 gameplay in action.  Seems there are decent visual upgrades this year, and from the video we can see that the "weapon system" is back.  Thanks to IGN for the goods.Mandatory video game buying ID checks?  This I actually have no problem with, especially if it keeps the government off the industry's back, and keeps away regulation.  Might be a good move to aid in getting mature+ games out of kids hands.  Th…

Arguments have raged for the ages over which console is the greatest (usually people siding with whatever they own in a vein attempt to make their purchase superior) which have never resulted in anything. I've never heard anyone say 'Oh damn you're right, my console is useless'.One thing that changes with every new generation are controllers, from the joysticks of the Atari to our current generation we have gone through alot of good and bad controllers and I think its time to have a look at the …

How many times have you bought the same game?Last week I purchased Mike Tyson's Punch out on the Nintendo Wii.  Of course, I bought the same game 20 years ago, for the original 8 bit Nintendo.  So, somehow Nintendo got me to buy the same game twice, to run on their proprietary hardware.   Many users see this as something good (Oh cool, I can retro game!) not realizing they're being ripped off!  I mean, should I really have to pay again for Mike Tyson's punch out?  E…

Kind of a slow news day so far, so this morning news may be a bit on the small side.  Nintendo tries to justify why their online mode sucks so bad.  Apparently it is a feature!  Who would have thought eh?  Security and easy of use were key in these descisions.Uwe Boll is now challenging Michael Bay to a boxing match and this is what Bay has to say about that.  Bay probably would get his ass kicked.  We have seen Uwe fight a member of the press already and that didn'…

Morning news is back in action with a midweek edition.  GTA4 finally arrives here today, but I promise to pry myself away for more news as the day goes on.  Vega and Balrog are on the way to Street Fighter 4.  Check out the images over this way.  This leaves all the bosses from SF2 shown so far besides M. Bison.  I would assume he is going to make the cut.Could God of War 3 feature online play?  A current job opening SCEA has up seems to point in that direction. The …

Lots of news to catch up this week so lets get started.  Welcome to the morning news!Is Grand Theft Auto 4 the perfect game?  Well maybe, maybe not.  But IGN did give it a 10/10, and only two other titles in 10 years have achieved this:  Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast and Ocarina of Time on N64.  Also make sure you stay tuned to our GTA retrospective as later on today we will feature GTA 4 in anticipation of tomorrow's release.  I will toss in about everything you co…

Morning news is here.  I should have some cool things on the way to write about eventually today as Mario Kart is on the way, and the Metal Gear Online beta opens today as well.As you can see Brett Favre is the cover man for Madden 2009.  I guess he doesn't have to worry about the curse eh?  Though he does hold the career interceptions record, maybe the cover is retrospective.Apparently the Playstation 3 is expected to see more of a bene…

Welcome to another edition of the morning news!  We are going to have some sweet Grand Theft Auto coverage coming your way this week so keep a heads up for that.More greatness in the form of some new Metal Gear Solid 4 footage.  The only issue is that there are no subtitles.  There are some new scenes that we have yet to see anywhere. Apparently rumors are the Def Leppard downloadable Guitar Hero 3 content I was so pumped for may not be master recordi…
