Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is officially out, whisking players away to the wild and wintery realm of Norgan in what looks to be a meaty expansion to Capcom's beloved action RPG. The expansion launched on October 8, 2026, with PC Gamer providing regional release times to help players around the world know exactly when they could dive in.
Capcom has stripped Denuvo anti-tamper DRM from Dragon's Dogma 2 on PC, the company confirmed ahead of the game's upcoming Dark Arisen expansion. The move follows a well-established pattern in the industry, where publishers remove Denuvo protection from titles once the software has served its primary commercial purpose of guarding a game during its most lucrative sales window. The update accompanying the DRM removal also brings a sizeable list of additional changes to the base game.
Capcom has confirmed that Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the expanded edition of the 2024 action RPG, will be receiving a hard mode update in response to fan requests. The news comes alongside a new developer Q&A that shed additional light on the upcoming features planned for the expanded release, signaling that Capcom is actively listening to its community and pushing the experience further for dedicated players.
It's been a packed week across the gaming landscape, with surprise announcements, live events, and long-overdue updates dropping all at once. Riot Games was forced to confirm League of Legends Classic after dataminers blew its cover ahead of a planned MSI reveal — the nostalgia-driven mode is now officially on the way. Meanwhile, Square Enix's Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is keeping the roster hype alive by naming FFX's Tidus as the next limited-time character, complete with Abilities inspired by Yuna and Wakka, while the evergreen Final Fantasy XI kicks off its beloved Celestial Nights date event in July with avatar swimsuit rewards in tow.
