Portal Fan Remake Is Done, But Valve's Silence Has Left It Stuck in Limbo

Portal: Alive & Kicking, a fully completed fan-made remake of the original Portal built using Portal 2's source code, is sitting unreleased with no clear path forward. The team behind the project had previously received Valve's blessing and even gained access to Portal 2's source code as part of that arrangement. Now, however, that same relationship with Valve appears to have become the obstacle, as the company has reportedly gone silent on the developers and left them unable to release the finished product.
