The Last of Us Director Apologizes for God of War Laufey Criticism
Bruce Straley, the veteran director best known for his work on Uncharted and The Last of Us at Naughty Dog, has issued a public apology to the development team behind God of War: Laufey after using the game as an example of a broader lack of innovation in the triple-A space. Straley had argued that the industry suffers from a deficit of good leadership at the top, but acknowledged that singling out Laufey dragged its developers into a controversy that was not of their making. "I want to apologize to the Laufey team for dragging you all into this uninvited and unnecessary negative attention," he wrote, adding, "This isn't the team's fault."
