Witcher 4 Will Keep Physical Box Format Despite Sony's Disc Phase-Out
CD Projekt Red has confirmed that The Witcher 4 will still offer a physical edition for collectors, even if discs become obsolete after Sony's planned phase-out in 2028. The studio made clear that fans who prefer to own a tangible copy of the game will still be able to do so, stating the game will "have a box" regardless of whether a disc is included inside it. This suggests CDPR is prepared to adapt the physical format, potentially shipping boxes with download codes rather than traditional optical media, in order to keep physical collectors happy.
