BlizzCon 2026: Diablo 4 Gets the Amazon Class and Season 15 Brings the Prime Evils

Blizzard made waves at the BlizzCon 2026 opening ceremony with a pair of major Diablo 4 announcements. The studio confirmed that the Amazon, a beloved returning class from Diablo II, is coming to the game in 2027. Armed with her iconic bows and javelins, the Amazon marks a significant addition to the roster, though Blizzard clarified she will not arrive as part of a full expansion. Instead, the class will be delivered outside of the traditional expansion model, signaling a possible shift in how Blizzard plans to release future content for the live-service RPG. The announcements were made alongside a celebration of Diablo's 30th anniversary.

On the near-term content front, Season 15 is just around the corner and it is bringing some of the franchise's most iconic villains into the fold. Players will soon be able to square off against the three Prime Evils, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, as well as the fan-favorite bovine twist on Mephisto known as Moophisto. Early hands-on gameplay previews confirmed these showdowns are as intense as fans have been hoping, with Diablo himself finally making a proper appearance in the game that bears his name. Blizzard also announced a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Diablo 4, further broadening the game's reach as it heads into its next major chapter.
