Fallout 5 and Classic Fallout Remasters Officially Announced by Bethesda

Bethesda is sending the Fallout franchise into overdrive with a wave of major announcements. The publisher has confirmed that both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas are receiving remasters, giving fans a modernized way to revisit two of the most beloved entries in the series. On top of that, a brand-new mainline entry, Fallout 5, has been officially announced, signaling a massive expansion of the post-apocalyptic RPG universe.

Adding even more to the pile, a new spinoff title is also in the works, with Obsidian Entertainment, the studio behind the original New Vegas, reportedly involved alongside Bethesda. The scope of these announcements suggests Microsoft and Bethesda are making a serious long-term push for the Fallout brand, likely capitalizing on the enormous mainstream popularity boost the franchise received following the acclaimed Amazon Prime Video television adaptation.
