The developer revealed Phoenix Cyclops as the game's first Year 1 DLC character, set to arrive this fall, alongside the release of the game's official opening movie trailer. The announcements come just ahead of the fighter's launch next month, building anticipation ahead of what looks to be a robust post-launch content roadmap.

Phoenix Cyclops, whose design draws inspiration from his iconic Phoenix-powered form, is included as part of the Year 1 Character and Stage Pass. The Comic-Con reveal gave fans their first in-depth look at how the character will play within Arc System Works' signature cel-shaded, anime-influenced fighting game style.
