SDCC 2026 & Tokyo Game Show: Nintendo, PlayStation, and Gundam Lead Summer Convention Season

Gaming fans have plenty to look forward to this summer as major players stake out their presence at two of the season's biggest events. San Diego Comic-Con 2026 is shaping up to be a hub for hands-on gaming experiences, with Nintendo confirming playable demos of both Splatoon Raiders and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Attendees eager to try Switch Sports Resort can head to a nearby hotel to sample four of the game's 12 different sports, while Splatoon Raiders will be available directly on the show floor. On the anime and gaming crossover front, Bandai Namco is bringing a new Gundam anime series reveal and an accompanying game to SDCC, with the panel also being streamed live on YouTube for fans who can't make it to San Diego.

Meanwhile, PlayStation is gearing up for a major showing at Tokyo Game Show 2026 in September. For the third consecutive year, Sony will maintain a prominent booth at TGS, where it is expected to showcase a slate of upcoming PS5 titles.
