Sonic Racing Crossworlds Year 2 Adds FF7, Persona, Evangelion & More

Oct 11, 20263 sources0 comments

Sonic Racing Crossworlds is doubling down on its crossover chaos with a packed Year 2 roadmap that pulls from some of gaming and pop culture's biggest franchises. Sega has confirmed that Godzilla, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 5, Sanrio Puroland (including Hello Kitty), and retro Sega content under the "Segaland" banner are all heading to the game. The lineup is a significant escalation from Year 1 and signals that the developers are leaning hard into the game's anything-goes crossover identity.

The announcement has turned heads not just for the sheer variety of the collaborations but for how eclectic the mix is, blending beloved JRPGs and anime with classic Sega nostalgia and family-friendly Sanrio characters all in the same racing game. As an added incentive for newcomers, the game has also received a permanent price drop, lowering the barrier to entry ahead of what looks to be a busy second year of content.
