Steam Updates Gifting and Wishlist Organization Features

Valve has rolled out two notable quality-of-life updates to Steam, overhauling how users send gifts and organize their wishlists. The gifting process has been simplified significantly, making it easier to purchase and send games to friends and family directly through the platform. Alongside the gifting changes, Steam now allows users to sort their wishlists into custom categories, bringing a long-overdue layer of organization to what has, for many players, grown into an unruly backlog of hundreds or even thousands of titles.

The wishlist category feature lets players group games however they see fit, whether by genre, priority, or any other personal system. It is a welcome addition for dedicated Steam users who treat their wishlist less as a short-term shopping list and more as a sprawling library of intentions.
