Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Introduces Auto-Leveling Feature to Combat Grinding

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will include an optional auto-leveling system that automatically raises characters' levels, allowing players to skip the grind and focus solely on the main story. Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed the feature during an interview with IGN Japan at Tokyo Game Show, framing it as a solution for players who have no interest in side content but still want to experience the narrative without feeling underpowered. The option is entirely elective, meaning players who prefer the traditional RPG experience of earning every level through combat can continue to do so unaffected.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation's Physical Version Requires an Internet Download

Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final entry in Square Enix's FF7 Remake trilogy, is getting a physical release, but fans hoping for a fully self-contained disc experience will be disappointed. Unlike its predecessors, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which each shipped across multiple discs to accommodate their large file sizes, Revelation will ship on a single disc. The catch is that the physical edition will require players to download additional game data on all formats, meaning an internet connection is effectively mandatory to play the full game.

FF7 Revelation's "Story Expansion Pass" Leaks: The Remake Trilogy May Not Truly End

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was supposed to be the definitive conclusion to Square Enix's ambitious remake trilogy — the epic finish to a journey that began back in 2020 with Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
